So, I wanted a better grip for my grizzly and bought an 870 forend for it.

I figured I only needed to do a bit of fitting but soon found myself elbow deep in reducing the inner diameter of the magpul forend with a file and cutting away material in the opening of one end for the rails to fit.
Once the forend was attached, the action wouldn't close. I realized that the sling swivel on the end cap was interfering. I ground it down and it works!

Unfortunately, I seem to have distorted the tube the forend is mounted to, that which rides over what would be the mag tube. This had resulted in a really stiff pump action. So, the question is, how do I remove those dents? File them out? Get a ball bearing of appropriate diameter and hammer it through? Wood dowel and rags? What?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
