Magpul STR - ACS-L

Most of the dealers are out of stock on the ctr and acs stocks and waiting for the new stocks. When can we expect the new stocks north of the border? The US have had the stock for 2 months already.

Which one do you guys prefer?

I have my eye on the STR for the cheek weld but not sure how the compartments work.

I ordered the ACS-L from Brownells, paid $84 for it. Had it for about a month now and I love it. I sold my CTR and bought the ACS-L

Did yours come with the swivel sling mount that screws into the side of the stock???

Get it from Brownells. Just ask them to ship it the cheapest way possible.

The STR is $50 cheaper than the ACS. I would go with the STR as well for the cheek fit.

How long does it take from brownells? Is it a hassle?!

I don't think you can go wrong with the original CTR, STR or ACL-S. I prefer the slimmer profile of the CTR - but that's just my personal preference. If I were to replace it, it would probably be with the ACL-S.

Depends on purpose.

For more precision shooting I like the wider stock like the SOPMOD.

For quick CQB stuff, especially with a short carbine, I like the slim CTR.

I have the CTR with the 1/4" Cheek Piece, works great on my XCR with either my EOtech XPS-0 or my ELCAN Specterdr 1.5x6 .

I personally like it better than the other models I tried and the option to add 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 cheek piece is a great option depending on your optics and shooting style..

Was it because the manufacturer was not approved for export ? or they just don't ship muzzle brakes

But the STR is still $40 cheaper than the ACS.
