Has anyone tried to install quick release cups instead of sling studs on the Magpul x22 stock?

I installed the Magpul QD cup on the back of my Hunter X-22 stock fitted to my Ruger 10/22 rifle.

The parts almost installed themselves it was so easy!

The setup works great.

I recommend the Magpul stuff - it works.

Did you drill in the QD cup or surface mount?

I installed the cup in the rear of the stock.

I use an M-lok front sling swivel for the sling on this rifle as I got it ready to shoot the next Maple Seed event that I was able to sign up for. I did not want a QD on the front at the side - rather at the bottom of the stock. At the rear it did not matter.

The QD cup was very secure and I have never worried about that sling attachment point letting go.

I just use paracord to attach my 1907 sling to my X22 stock.

It's QD if you have an EDC knife.
