finally got my 93B from Daves Surplus. Put it on last night and it is so much better. Now I just need the FF setup (Samson I think), and optics. Probably go Aimpoint, none of the others really impress me much, and I've tried them all. I want this for CQB stuff, so I don't need any magnification.
 
I've tried the Eotechs, the Cmores, etc etc etc. and I keep coming back to the Aimpoint.
I'll try and do some pics later, it's nothing special though.
 
One complaint I was hearing a lot today at the shoot in Wainwright was the Aimpoint dot is too big, making it hard to see the further targets (every thing was under 100 yards).
 
I got the last black one they had. they should be getting more. Now I have to see if I can swing the bucks for a Troy rail from CQB, bastard went and PM'd me and everything!

were they the chinese 7MOA knock-offs?

so does this mean you'll come out to another Tac-Rifle match?
 
Im waiting on the new Magpul UBR stock, suppose to be out this month, its the replacement for the M93.
 
yeah I saw those, and everyone said wait to get one of them. But I prefer the look of the robot leg. And for me it's all about the LCF.
 
yeah... the robot leg is pretty good. Took me awhile to make up my mind of the UBR. Suppose to be out in a couple of weeks now, according to Magpul direct.

Yours is probably better made, as its rumoured they switched cause the 93s were partially hand built.. so they were slow to make. Did you get yours with the skull crushing plate??? Just in case? lol
 
Which Troy rail did you get? I'm looking at the 12" MRF-CX for my 14.5" barrel... looks pretty sveet indeed!

And, my OD Magpul M93B should be here later this week. Dude, you have good taste... :)

So the differences are, Standard 4-6 position ok, the MagPull series have a tougher Tube with better stress disbursment, and will protect against failure. Right? And the 93B is the lattest?

the UBR, looks lighter and more modular. Less parts I think as well. No reviews on AR15.com yet. Have seen some pics and they look pretty good. But they dont look much like the old soon to be phased out 93.
 
I got the 9inch FF rail from CQBServices. Not sure which one it is. All I know is I needed the 9inch one (god that sounds ###). Anyhow looking forward to getting that. Next is some new mags, as mine are all ####. C Products is what I'll be getting. Though I'd prefer if they were 30's with blocks inside, instead of the lances, as you can't clean them. But I'll take them with the lance, as they are the nicest mags I've seen.
Then I'll be searching for a killer deal on an Aimpoint. After that it's the BUIS.
at some point I hope Kev finds my PRI grip (Kev?) and then some sling attachment points too.
For the Troy rail what do I need to do to put it on?
 
I dunno the Crane sort of made me want to barf...looks like plastic ####..and pretty pricey to. Whats your take on the new UBR? The other cheaper CTR looks ok..but abit light duty...but its less than half the price. The PRS is ok..but not for a shorty
