Mags for Dagger SAP6 and Derya Mk. 12 shotguns

I bought an AS46 mag but darned if it will work in my Derya MK12. I even changed followers thinking that would be the answer but the round seems to angle up and jam before it can enter the chamber? It's a mystery because the mags appear identical. It fits in and locks but won't feed properly. Funny thing though I put the AS46 follower into the Derya 2 round mag when I switched followers and up at the range Tuesday I loaded it with 2 rounds and it cycled just fine.

Is this a Lockhart or original Uzkon? I am sorry it isn't running for you. You are the first I hear of that is having this trouble. Me and several others I know are running them in Derya Mk12 and Typhoon F12 shotguns without trouble.

I'm also not having any luck with the Lockhart mags. Same problem as bushpilotmexico is having. Mag locks in but won't feed properly. Anyone out there willing to sell 2 of the original Uzkon 10 rnd mags ?

Just tried cycling dummy rounds with a Typhoon gun and Lockhart mags last night. Seems like the rounds cycle fine down to the last one which comes in too low and wont feed. Comparing the follower on the stock mags the Lockhart mags are quite a bit less of an angle and dont feed the last shell up high enough

That's too bad. I can say that the Uzcon brand Uzcon AS46 mags that I have are sporting identical followers (save the bolt catch hardware) as the stock Derya Mk12 mags that came with the gun.

Careful with swapping parts in mags. Modifications to mags constitutes as "re-manufacturing" the mag for the firearm you were attempting to get it to function in according to the RCMP lab. As a result if it is "remanufactured" for a semi-auto centerfire it must also be limited as such, making the whole thing pointless.

Basically mod your gun to function with mags to gain a capacity advantage is okay, but the other way around is not.

The Lockhart mags with their low followers don't cycle anything in my Typhoon. When I replaced their low followers with Derya followers (more angle at the front), then they would cycle 9 rounds with no problems. 10th round wouldn't feed with any type of the follower.

Also signing under request to buy 1st generation Uzkon mags. Will take whatever is available.

Thanks. Just bought an AS46 for my Derya from Reliable and looked at the bolt hold open issue and thought, "what an easy fix, why haven't others done it?" (I swapped the follower from the hunting mag to the AS46). Then I figured I'd check out CGN and find out an answer. You just provided it. Didn't think it would be considered mod'd just because of that little plastic catch. Guessed wrong. What stupid laws. Back to being compliant.....

Glad you found this thread and saved some potential problems for you. Modifying a mag by placing parts in a pump action mag to work the last shot bolt catch of a semi auto shotgun will be most clearly seen as a modification.

Cheers

Sounds like a job for a 3d printer whizz.
