Hi. I am eagerly awaiting delivery of a barely used Norinco NP22. In the meantime a fellow CGN member is selling some magazines to it a Sig 226.
Can anybody tell me if there is a difference in fit/quality between Mec-Gar and ProMag magazines? Anybody ever have issues with compatability with the Norinco?
Thanks for any help,
Glen

Yeah, go MecGar, only issue you may run into is the plastic baseplate might be too thick for your gun. My NP-58's frame wasn't cut short enough from the factory and I had to reduce it to the proper length for mecgar or SIG Factory mags to seat properly.

Mecgar are top notch ! Promag ,not so much. CDNN uses Pro mag and high quality in their mail ads ,and this should be against the law to use those 2 words in the same sentence. Pro mag does not = high quality.
Watch out for the new Sig mags that are made in the US by Checkmate, they do not have the best reputation either.
When looking for Sig factory mags, look for the made in Italy,or Made in Germany and they will good mags .
Hope this helps......

I have 2 Mec-Gar mags for my np-22. One didn't work at all and the other one didn't like to latch in every time. They both just needed a little bit of filing on the notch where the mag release catches. After that they worked great.
