Hey everyone,

just ordered the Norc 1911 combo last night, and am just wondering if there are any particular magazine brands that I should shy away from when it comes to extra mag purchases, be it not locking the slight, or not fitting properly.

Everyone has their preferences, be it McCormick, Wilson, or factory. In general the only thing I'd suggest to avoid would be surplus army stuff. There have been alot of bad copies of GI mags over the years and they can be hard to tell apart from the legit one's. Some work ok others are a total waste. stick to the well known name brands and you're good.

Marstar Norinco 1911 mags work fine in mine.
CanadaAmmo has/had Dlask mags at a resonable price, and maybe check out Wolverine Supplies.
Never had a problem with any brand of 1911mags I've used in a Norinco 1911.

I've never had any problems with Norinco mags, but I have had issues with numeruos others. Bad mags lead to feeding failures, which can wreck your extractor (causing even more headaches) if not nipped in the bud.

Chip McCormick, Wilson Combat and Tripp Research are the absolute best 1911 mags.

Excellent results with Chip McCormick 8-rd Power Mags in my Norinco.

But every 1911 is a unique and beautiful snowflake... YMMV ;)
