Magtech 147 fmj subsonic 9mm.

Magtech is great ammo. I also have shot thousands of rounds of this stuff and recommend it. There is another company called Maxxtech which in my opinion is garbage and dirty as hell.

Glad OP posted this thread. Magtech showed up at my LGS recently and I never heard of this brand before. Rep told me it was from Brazil or something. Price was slightly cheaper than the comparable Federal AE, Blazer, S&B, etc. even though it is 147gr. Glad others have heard of it and have used it with seemingly positive results. Will pick up a box next time I am at the store.

It is interesting, when I bought the boxes I was told Magtech has a huge proponent and endorser in world class shooter Jerry Miculek.

Sure enough I came home and looked it up and Mr. Miculek is quoted as saying this about Magtech:

Professional Shooter Jerry Miculek on Magtech Ammunition:
"Without a doubt, Magtech is the most dependable ammo I’ve used. When I step up to the line with Magtech rounds in my cylinder, I stand with peace of mind that my ammo won’t let me down."

I am looking forward to trying these out next week at the range. My typical range ammo with 9mm has been Federal AE, CCI Blzer, S&B, but I have started using Federal Syntech exclusively due to it running much cleaner. Looking forward to comparing Magtech to what I have used.

Tried these rounds at the range tonight. They are GREAT. Shot 50 rounds of standard Federal AE. Observed the groups. Changed targets and then started using the Magtech on the same gun. About 17 round in, already there is a visibly tighter group. I know there is no way it could be me, so I credit the ammo. I ended up shooting about 30 rounds of this, and pretty impressed with the result.
