Hi folks

I'm new to the reloading scene so if this is common knowledge then take it easy on me.

I have a new press and Epps is a three hour drive from my place and it is the closest sports store that will sell me reloading components and powders. Are they any outlets that will sell components and send them to me? If so which ones are the best to deal with?

If by "components" you mean dies/powder throwers/boolits, etc. etc. then yes, there are lots of supporting businesses that can get these things for you and ship them in. Personally, I have had great experiences with Phishroy(Dragon Bullet Lube) and Budget Shooter(Henry Nierychlo). The cost of doing this is actually quite reasonable.

If by "components" you mean powders and primers, then the answer is still yes, but the cost of getting it shipped to you (must be shipped as a dangerous good) would likely outweigh the trip to Epps.

I am in a similar situation - with no local sources, so when I make a trip to a good store, I stock up.

Good Luck.

+3 for Higginson Powder. They seem to always have what I've needed or an acceptable substitute. They seem to carry all presses and accessories from Lee and Hornady. They stock all Hornady bullets. They're very fast to ship. In fact, I had a package in the mailbox today that they shipped on Tuesday. And even though they're only an hour away, the hazmat fee for powder is still cheaper than driving there and back. Unlike Cabelas that wanted $160 for hazmat fee to ship 2 lbs of powder. They deal in bulk powder so be prepared to get your powder in a plastic bag inside a cardboard box. Some people don't like that but it's perfectly fine with me.
