Mainspring housing part- work on STI Edge?

I won an INfinity mainspring housing, it says competition 1911, 20 LPI, Steel on the back of the package.DUH!, *** edited because I am a dummy. 1911, not 2011***

not sure, but on the website it says widebody....? on the package, it says 1911

To place weight lower into the pistol to balance the gun.......I prefer plastic that I carve to fit my hand.....I do have a stainless magwell....
