Makarov pistol

Currently they are not allowed to be imported due to sanctions against Russia, due to their invasion of Crimea. They do come up on the EE from time to time. New production baikals in .380 and 9x18 makarov go fro pretty cheap 500-600. Less frequently you see Russian and East German military one which usually are $1000 plus.

I'd buy a 9x19mm Makarov with a threaded barrel.

You next to never see these. I know the Russian military did do them from time to time but the 9x18 barrels are quite thin not alot of room to work with.

Interammo used to sell them a while back both 9mm Mak and 380 but guessing that the sanctions might have affected supply

I got mine from this guys six years ago. New civilian model Baikal-442 with restricted barrel. I never came across restricted barrel only for sale. Epps had one Bulgarian PM for sale couple years back, but in prohibited status.
Private sale is the best bet for now and nearest future.

All I know is my prohib bulgarian mak is one of the most accurate pistols I've used. I have just shy of 2 full crates of ammo for it, so shouldn't run short anytime soon.

Since tradeex has this chineese ammo 50 for 17cad, I'm taking PM every time I go on the range - like it, like it a lot.

The first case cost something like $13/bx when bought by the crate. But i got the second crate when Canada Ammo was doing some sort of a clearance, and it was around $8/ bx. To cheap to pass up.
