Making a 77/22 barrel work on a 10/22

Picked up a nice 77/22 barrel, hoping to fit it to my 10/22. Internet search speaks of the need of a washer/spacer? And a V block modification? If this is true where can I buy the washer/spacer? And does anyone have details of the modification or if a modified new V block can be purchased? Thanks . . .

Why not sell it and get another, more common, 10-22 barrel?
