does anyone know where I can get a jig for making hollow points out of regular 22lr ammo. I was just given a case of winchester 22 ammo and it shoots well out of my ruger but I would really like it if it was hp. I was thinking about just using a drill press but there must be a jig made for this purpose already.

i normally do buy hollow points but i was given a CASE (10 boxes pf 500) so I thought it might be worth my while and a fun way to kill time in the winter. Any thoughts on the Paco Kelly accurizer or is it for ammo that is hp already.

i have the Paco tool and iy works very well to enlarge the factory HP ammo.
There is a kit you can buy that will put a big dish shape in non HP ammo, I saw it some place on rimfire Central. FS

Well just for the heck of it I pulled out the Paco tool and gave it a try on a American eagle 40gr solid. Used the same procedure for reg. HP ammo and it worked real well. I then chambered it in my new Cooper as their chambers are some of the tightest, no problem there either.
So you could buy yourself a Paco tool, or perhaps you could borrow mine. FS

how much do they usually go for and do you know where I can find one?

You say "your Ruger" is it a 10/22? most semi's don't want to feed ammo that has been modified, your's might be different.
If you google Paco tool you will find info on how to order this great product. FS
