Making my 45 better for IPSC

I have a Norc 1911. It has the extended mag release and slide release. It has the ambi safety.

I found I had problems with mag changes.

Any IPSC 1911 45 shooters care to share what they did to make their guns more competitive?

I love my Tanfoglio StocK III Extreme but still want to use the 45 on occasion.


And no I am not going to start over. The gun is solid but I would like ideas to make it better.

I put magwell on my Ruger. It is wide and speed up mag change, still ok for classic. It was easy installation, aluminium grips with and magwell. Not sure brand, teckwell probably
