Varget and 69gr Sierra's work well in my 700 in 1/9 twist, work up from 23.5 I think your going to be pleasedhttp://
I have had very good success with RL 15 as well with 69gr.
There are two fellows at range with very small groups well under 1/2" one using 55gr Hornadys with 4895 and the other with Benchmark not sure if they where using V-max or A-max bullets, one was a Rem police with 1/9 and other a Savage 12 1/9 twist both 26" barrels
hope this is help for you

69 gr Sierra Matchkings are my Savages favorite (BTVSS). 52gr Hornady A-max's are second. I tried 75 gr A-max's but performance suffered.

69 gr bullet, 25.8 gr Varget and CCI SR BR primers

I'm thinking the 1:9 could shoot the lighter stuff down to 45 grains just fine,
depending on what you want to do with it.

You can shoot light bullets but you will have to limit velocity. The RPM resulting from a fast twist barrel + high velocity might cause the bullet to self destruct in flight.

Hornady 60grain SP start at 5 cases of 25.0 grains of Varget and keep going up .2 for the next 5 cases and so on tell i get the one the group im happy with right.

My max is 27.0 grains of powder for the 60gr bullet but i want to keep it under that to save my brass right?

I hope that made sence, im so new.
