Making my own action

I decided I would attempt to design and build my own action.
I'm sure there will be a few of you that will have some advice/warnings
for me as I am aware of the possible dangers involved.
I look forward to your guestions and concerns.
As far as the legality of this goes, I have not heard or read anywhere
that this is a problem.

Assuming that you have the knowledge, skills, tools and materials, why not? What sort of action are you contemplating?

It will be a single shot,
-a two piece two lug bolt with sako concept extractor,
-octagon shaped body with flat bottom
As of now, most of the parts are mostly modeled if you know what I mean.
Every piece will be designed so that it can be made in our shop.
Having a wire EDM is a huge factor.
