Hey guys...I have a dt10 that I love but would like to play with the adjustability of a pfs stock on her. Of course pfs doesn't make a grip for it. Been cruising the net for ideas, the best one is apparently a stock fitter out of oregon who has a mould to make me one by the name of john fittinger. Anyone heard of him or have contact info for him? Found several sets of contact info for him online and wanted to check here before I call all over.
Other ideas on how to achieve my objective are welcome...i know a guy who I think made his own grip for one of his guns...how hard do we think that would be to do?

You could make your own if you have any wood talent, not that hard really, or I suppose you could have one made, never heard of the guy you mentioned.

But I have owned and use PFS and while I think they are great, I went back to wood and most of the skeet shooters I know in ontario who did have one at one time have gone back to wood as well.

Take your gun to a GOOD gun fitter, the difference will be night and day, he can make the gun fit and by that I mean shoot where you are looking and reduce felt recoil and increase comfort.

BUT you need trigger time under your belt, before you have serious alterations or a custom stock made. No point if doing it if you don't know what you actually need....you may know what you want, but that may not be what you need.

Things as simple as changing you stance or putting on a couple of pounds can effect how the gun will fit you, so you need to have a lot of things worked out before proceeding, BUT you can also develop bad habits from recoil problems etc.

It is worth at least going for a fitting on your current stock and work from there, fortunately, depending on the fitter, changes are not necessarily permanent and can be increased/decreased as time goes on.

That all said I did enjoy my PFS or as it was nicknamed (not by me) the 'Terry Fox Stock'

go to trapshooters.com and look up VDT (Vick Tomlinson) London Ont??, he has come up with some great solutions for PFS units. If you can pick up a broken DT stock that you can cut the grip off and send it to VDT he can carve out a grip and add the hardware so it can be used with the PFS.

Contact Cole guns and see if they have any throw away DT stocks or put up an ad on the WTB pages on here or trapshooters

This could be done pretty cheap and quick if the stars align.
