well the sites on this 1911 kinda leave me wanting. Not much you can do with them. At 10 yards , I was a bit off POA

so, I went and seen my trusty neighbor. He does silver soldering. This time he made me do it.

the stock sites preped for silvering

Yes shot low with both kids of ammo.

Well I must be a lucky duck. I took it out to the range and did very minimal filing & I was at Point of Aim. HAPPY. I mesured the site off my other 1911 so I would have an idea how high to make it. PICS coming right up !!

well...they are solid. Good site picture. Nice height. point of aim is right on. I think they turned out good.

They are dialed right in. The stock sites where just to darn small. very happy. with the larger sites, I can pick up on the target alot faster. I made the cut in the rear site a little more narrow to minimize windage. The front site is a 3rd taller.
The stock GI sites are simply to small to work with. I like accuracy.
