I was pressed for time so I rushed through this, but I was sighting in a shotgun with a rear peep sight that cannot be adjusted for elevation. the front post is fixed. I used slugs to sight in, as I figured it would be more precise than shot.
At 25m, each shot produced 2 holes on paper: 1 about 4" high, and the second about 6" low. I am guessing the second hole is the wad? anyway, is it normal that the slug would hit 4" high at 25m? I shot offhand since I can't adjust elevation anyway. I typically shoot lower offhand, not higher. I figured I would never shoot prone so I might as well sight it in from offhand.
Thoughts?
