Man de-bones deer in less than 8 minutes

Wowsers!, he made that look so quick and easy. I almost think I old do it like that ... until next year .... when I decide to try it and rest reminded that there is something that years of experience will provide that a video never will ... But I am going to give it a try. I like the idea of using that hook to hold/ pull meat while cutting!

Bit faster then a professional butcher could do it, they average 15-20min when doing it fast. But faster you go the more meat you lose. But in the greater scheme of things, its only a little bit of loss for a mega savings in time

Yep.

This vid has been posted here before. As re-posts go, it's a worthwhile one, but it represents a skill that has been built by a LOT of repetition and practice.

I doubt you could make much of a pot of soup off the remnants he leaves.

It's an OK system, but skips that the work of getting the meat off the bones is just the beginning of the real work of processing and packaging the venison. If all you want to do is strip it and drop the pieces whole through the grinder, then it's pretty good. If you want good looking, clean cuts, ready to put onto a table in front of someone that you would like to make a good impression upon... Much work left to do!

Cheers

I am typing this message with one finger since it is the only one I have left after watchin that lol. I bet he sure gets bugged alot from guys wanting him to do it.
I could hear it now: Hunting Buddy- "What do ya mean you want $100, it only took you 8 minutes" lol

I actually can bang out hindquarters almost as fast, but i will be starting at the bottom like he does from now on. After that he would have blown me away. I will be watching that vid alot more. Ive never seen a butcher take the front quarters apart like that, far less cutting and lots of stripping. Way cleaner and faster, awesome tip. I love the way he started at the bottom of the ribs and work right into the backstraps and then right up the neck. Fantastic job nice and clean. He definatly has a great system. Love the way he starts on one section and then has his work flow into another area. Great stuff.

Thanks for digging that up. Ive watched alot of video's on butchering deer on youtube, and never stumbled on that one.
