A 58-year-old man is in serious condition in hospital after being thrown off his snowmobile north of Metcalfe.

Ottawa Paramedics say the man had been hunting coyotes in a field off Cooper Hill Road at the time of the incident.

He suffered serious head injures.

I was thinking the same thing. But, after thinking about it, he may have been hunting coyotes and was on his way back home on ski-doo when he fell off. Hope he wasn't hurt too bad.

Yea, funny how so many people are opposed to hunting, but when their little kitties and doggies start to go missing it's all out war.

Back in the old days on St Joe they used to throw dead deer out on the ice and then chase the wolves down with snow machines and club em.

Pretty sure that would be frowned upon these days.
