So I got my X95 on the recent import batch, and was looking to trick it out. Ordered several upgrades made by Manticore Arms

- buttpad
- folding charging handle
- slim and medium safety levers

Received the package today and set out to install all those things.

Buttpad was easy to install and is an amazing upgrade. Shouldering the rifle feels just right now, and it slightly reduces length of pull.

Folding charging handle was easy to install but it turned out to be completely worthless upgrade. Ironically, it was the one I was interested the most, since factory charging handle sticks out pretty far, and makes it annoying to store and transport X95, and bumps into my left hand's wrist. MA version was very snug, shaving off pieces of receiver every time I work it, and it didn't even solve the main issue. New handle is way too long, and interferes with my left hand grip. I ended up taking it off and returning to the factory charging handle.

Safety levers I couldn't even install. It seems they aren't to spec, and do not fit over the dovetail mount provided.

All in all it was not a total waste, but 1 out of 3 is not a great result.

Manticore is top end kit. I can pretty much guarantee that, as for the safety levers, YOU are doing something wrong.
the paddles need to be installed half way between the fire/safe position. Its a tight fit, but i can 99.9% promise you they arent "out of spec"

Well, I had no issue removing factory safety levers and putting them back on, so clearly the issue is me.

The MA safety is tight and frustrating to install, but it works. I also have the gasketed port cover which is nice too, but the folding charging handle is my favorite upgrade. I took my hand guard panels off to deal with the scraping issue, and just put a couple small Magpul ones on where my support hand was touching the rails. I find it an enormous improvement for all the reasons you mentioned why the OEM one sucks. I use an AFG, and ended up just moving it a notch or two to avoid making contact with the handle in its folded position, which was the perfect solution for me.

Yeah, if you use AFG your grip will be lower, so you wont bump into either of version of the charging handle. I'm a big fan of BCM vertical short grip and c-clamping. Neither handle works well for me, but at least factory one doesn't bind up and chafe the receiver outer shell.

If you liked the reduced LOP for the Manticore buttpad, you might like IWI's own flat buttplate. These rubber buttpads on the commercial rifles exist only to meet the overall length requirements in the US. Even manticore's buttpad is slanted the way it is to comply with those laws.

I actually like the curve on MA buttpad. It shoulders very nicely.

I just picked up an X95 last night and was looking at the same Manticore upgrades. I was most interested in the buttpad and charging handle. I didn't know the handle rubs. Good to know for future consideration.
As for the buttpad, has anyone used both the slim and the Manticore curved one? If so, what did you go with?

Interesting that you seem to know what my rifle has or has not done. It's ground that pebble finish smooth. It looks the same. I wouldn't worry about it.

Why are you being deliberately obtuse? I am talking about my rifle, and the pictures I have posted.

The factory charging handle does NOT shave the receiver shell. It had couple of small shavings first couple of times I ran it, but then it quickly settled.

The MA charging handle shaves like crazy, and not just on the outside. You can see it on the pictures I posted. It's shaving the bottom side of the channel. It has nothing to do with the outer "pebble" finish, which wouldn't produce long shavings anyway.

This edge is not rounded at all, and I don't see why wouldn't it shave or why would it ever settle. The factory handle does not have this edge, and cannot do the same kind of damage.

My MCA charging handle rubbed down the pebble finish smooth, but has never produced any shavings like yours. I don't know what is the difference with yours but I have had all the Manticore parts on myX95 for about 2 years and it never did that to my rifle

Also tight fit on the safety levers but they do fit properly

I also run their forend so my charging handle lever sits flat when its folded. I believe that even though their charging handle does fit with the standard IWI forend it fits better with their forends

MA charging handle; ridiculously easy installation. Fantastic upgrade. The more I tinker with this rifle the more I really appreciate it.
