While the CFO is waiting for the mandatory "cool down" period to be over for the 14.3" carbine :p.....I got the nice package from the TSE.

After chewing my nails for years over the 550 dollars price tag of the surefire M520A, I figure out buying a rail handguard and an extra light will be costing me more money and potentially packing more weight.

So instead of spending 600 dollars + for the handguard, another 250 dollars for a X300 and the retardedly priced 120 dollars tape switch - the price of the M520A is a steal. There is no hope of freefloating the Swiss Arms, so I decided to skip the Rail handguard and go straight to dedicated light. I have also tried those add on rails, they are just too limiting in the position and are not overly confidence inspiring as the screws pull out the plastic when they are tensioned.....

With my current shooting style, I don't even use the vertical grip. The buttons on the M520 are in the spot I want, and the red LED is a nice bonus. While LED is the NOW, I still like the colour rendering of Xenon lamp but that can be changed to LED later on when better LED lamps become available.

The only downside - it is black, but it is just a color anyways.

oh pimpin, neat gadget though it does kinda kill the rifles slim profile

looks cool with black and green handguards, maybe you've accidentally started a new fad ;)

Looks cool!! is there really something CFO specific happening with the carbine ? I hope not, I bought mine today!!

Hey GT, did you also go for the carbine since our tavors were delayed?? I'm thinking it was a way better buy for the money anyway! :D

Looks really slick! I`ve never seen one and doubt I ever will, I had some of those rails that you say will pull through the plastic and they worked really well while I was clearing the basement :) they are actually really solid and lined up really well for my hands.

Since this thing is strickly a range queen, the optic rail for a dot and the bottom rail for a harris bipod are really the only two rails that I will use .

Thats a really nice luxury add on tho....

I had been hawking at the carbine for awhile, but I did cancel my Tavor order for now so I can use the money to go vacation later in the year.
