Manitoba Turkeys

Do we have turkeys in Manitoba? I know there's a season for them in the fall and I see plenty of farmed ones around Bird's Hill, but seriously, do we actually have wild turkeys to hunt? If so, where the heck are they?

I'd like to do a turkey hunt one day and was just wondering what the opportunities are like in MB.

I think the vast majority of them have been introduced or are escaped farm birds that have gone wild. Around Morden and throughout the Pembina Valley, I've been told there are some. Plus, I've seen and heard quite a few in areas south of Brandon.
Birds Hill Park is loaded with them but hunting them may be frowned upon. I'm pretty sure the MWF does a mentored turkey hunt thing each year. They may have info on where to try.
