Any of you fellas in the southern Manitoba area ever hunted the Milner Ridge area?
What's your experience with these types of game in the area?:canadaFlag:

Yep, I've hunted milner. Stay away during the rifle deer season as every dip$hit and his dog are out shooting from the road at anything that moves in the bush, even if your wearing orange. From September to the end of October, just walk the logging trails and the birds will be sitting at the edges, or you'll spot them about 10 feet off in the bush.

You might want to try the Sandilands, anywhere from Richer upto Hadishville. Last year I got my limit on ruffies. The number upland birds in this area has been on the rise for the past 3 years. Each year it just gets better. Last season I got my limit within the first hour of my hunt!!!!

My experience also is that there are so many hunters up there it is not very fun. Unless you have a quad and can cover alot of ground. Go about halfway to seven sisters. Last year i walked about 15 miles. Took all day and only saw a handful of birds the weekend after the season opened. This year i am going to try up by Pinefalls because i have heard there are alot of birds up there.
