Don't look at US pricing unless you plan to export the rifle, wich will cost atleast a few hundred dollars American. I bought a 1903 MS 6.5x54 without a scope but with the very desirable Lyman 36 peep for just under $1400 CDN and it has a stock repair! It does matter what type/maker made the scope mount for the rifle as alot of value can be detracted by non factory D&T of scope mounts to the collector, but may add value to the fellow who is looking for a sleek hunting rig with a scope mounted already.I looked at the pictures of the scope mount and it is a Echo 11DC model wich are worth about $125 for the base and rings.Your rifle looks to be in excellent shape, I hope the bore is in the same condition. Does the butplate have the 3 piece cleaning rod under the trap door? as these ussually go for around $300 ,very hard to find. Your rifle has factory sights still installed wich is a bonus. Your rifle has the optional single trigger, so I imagine it was imported into US/CANADA by Stoeger, if so it will be marked(STOEGER) on the bottom of the magazine, if not it should read (MADE IN AUSTRIA) if it was exported to othe Euro countries. many perfer the single trigger her in North America, but the double set trigger is very easy to get use to. The front sling swivel is missing wich can be found threw gunsmiths who work on European guns. I would put a price between $1300 AND $1800 due to the fact that the gun has been D&T outside the factory and this is one of the cheaper made scope mounts( made of aircraft grade aluminum) ,as well as the single trigger for whatever reason is less desirable, but add $300 if the cleaning rod is there on top of the price. So I would price it closer to $2000 if the bore is good and if the cleaning rod is still in the but, they stopped building these guns as they could not make them and still make a prophet, so instead of cheapening the gun they did the right thing and stopped producing them. If they were to make your exact rifle today it would cost about $7000!!! ,this is the slickest most desirable hunting gun ever made, please if you sell it, make sure it goes to a good home where it will be used, they were meant to hunt. take care , if you have anyother questions please PM me, Dale in T-Bay
