Gotta learn how to take apart warrior semi auto 12 gauge. The gun never came with a manual. Know the gun is similar to the sa-08 weatherby. Wanna make sure i do it right.

Should I use the sa-08 manual or just use the write ups on cgn and youtube videos.

What would you do?

Why wouldn't a bran new gun not come with a manual?

Contact the dealer and ask for a manual. Any reputable product should come with a manual. If the manufacturer can't supply an operators manual, it says a lot about the manufacturer.

Corwin arms is trying to get his name out there. the company is new but the customer service is pure class. Martin has responded quickly with good info when ever i have had questions. just don't understand why there isn't a manual. this is the only question he hasn't answered but i'm sure there is a good reason. perhaps he thinks there is enough info out there to learn how without it. J Mitchell did a great thread on the gun.

i'll figure it out but want the manual just in case.

wondering if others have tracked it down or how reliable the sa-08 manuel is pretty well the same?

I'm wondering the same thing. Martin has been great for the few questions I've had, but a manual really would be nice. As a new shotgun shooter just little things like knowing if steel shot is safe for all the chokes, slugs, etc. If anyone finds a manual that sure would be nice

scott, i heard from a thread by someone i can't remember on cgn to stay away from the steel shot. its 1700 feet per sec as opposed to the 1300 feet per sec. apparently it will hurt the gun. thats what he said.

don't know why you would design a gun to shoot a steel shot if it couldn't handle it. take it with a grain of salt. do a lot of research before you shoot the steel shot just in case.

got the semi stripped down 80 percent but haven't figured out how to take the magazine , spring and two ends off yet. J Mitchell said to be careful here so i'm talking to more people before i do this part. J Mitchell has the best guide that i have found to explain the details of this gun.

let me know how do to this if you have already done this. want to get to the range soon. haven't used it and i've had the gun almost a month now. lol i'm busy anyway but the nice weather comes this week so………..

The only 1700 FPS steel shot I'm aware of is the Remington Hyper Sonic (or whatever it's called). I could see the higher pressures that might be associated with that damaging a semi auto not designed to take it... Otherwise I think most steel shotshells travel between about 1300 and 1550 FPS. I would think that standard hunting loads would be fine....

This shotgun was designed to handle steel, for shooting steel follow general choke recommendations. Do not use full choke for steel, Modified and Improved cylinder chokes are fine for steel.

You know - there is about a 90 % chance you're going to screw up the gun by trying to do a full dis-assembly - and then you're going to be SOL regarding warranty. On guns of this type, a full strip is simply not needed - nor intended by the manufacturer. Clean and lube the gas actuated parts every few years, and you'll be fine.
BTW - The Remington Hypersonic has proved to be problematic with its claimed 1700 fps velocity - I've seen it damage a nice Browning semi. And it wasn't the steel shot that damaged the gun - it was the excessive chamber pressure.

got the magazine off and the trigger. didn't know how the magazine was attached. its threaded on both sides so thats good to know. now i know why J Mitchell was saying be careful. the spring has tension and once you undo the last thread, the spring will want to spring forward. this will cause the two plastic pieces holding the spring in to fly off. just be careful that if they do fly off, your able to find them because they are black and small pieces. got the gun fully taken apart and feel like i'm ready to shoot now so that i can clean it top to bottom once used.

cosmic, i heard to clean it every time you use it so i'll stick with that advice. with a semi, everything needs to be mint so…. perhaps with other actions you can leave for years but it makes sense to me to clean a semi every time. the only thing i didn't do was break down the trigger assembly. J Mitchell says to do this, break it down and clean it but being a rookie, i'll stop there. lol

i'll just stay away from the steel shot until i talk to more people.

the only thing i don't like about the gun is that the trigger assembly has a mix of plastic and metal parts. pretty sure the moss500 is like this too where the 870 i believe is all metal. not sure if corwin arms sells trigger assembly's in metal only separately. i'll cross that bridge when i get there. would be good to know though if your reading this Martin!
