Maple Ridge Armoury barrels?

If they are anything like their 6.5 creedmoore barrels they are great. Night and day differance from factory barrel on my gun from ok to moa with factory ammo.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I will have a report eventually as well as I pulled the pin on an 18.6" 308 Nitride straight fluted. It will be a while before I try it though as I still have a bunch of parts to get for my Stag 10 build.

Please let us know how the Straight fluted and pencil barrels work out...
Decent pricing for barrels, I just hope they are good shooters.
Not sure if I am going fluted or pencil, seems to be 0.5 lbs in difference which is quite a bit!

I had heard of previous issues with MRA barrels in the past for various manufacturers defects. Didn't want to hold some previous bad internet posts against them, so decided to pull the trigger. Currently waiting for a warranty issue to resolve itself...

I will post details, good or bad, once the manufacturer/retailer has had a fair chance to address it.

Personally, if you have the opportunity to inspect the barrel yourself, before purchasing it, and know what you are looking for, then go for it. I would be hesitant to buy one sight unseen.

I just received a MRA 6.5 Grendel barrel in the mail today. Aside from the fluting not being indexed, which is purely cosmetic, there seems to be no issues that are of valid concern.

The index pin and gas port are aligned correctly. The muzzle threading is cut smoothly. The chamber is cut really smooth. The barrel extension fits into the receiver nice and snug. And the bore of the IBI blank is once again, really smooth.

I fully expect this barrel to shoot well. Time will tell.
