Tang sights have been used on every manufacturers version of the 92 action since their creation ....they do work fine. The thing you have to pay attention to when purchasing is to get the proper base for your model , tang angles and bolt spacings can differ from one to another. If you get the wrong tang angle base then your sight picture through the aperture will be a "shaded on the edges oblong hallo "instead of a perfect round picture. You have to be able to set the sight on the tang and the sight barrel be absolutely 90 deg to the bore centerline of the rifle.
There are more manuf than Marbles that make suitable sights for a 92 like Lyman for instance, I have even used long range Vernier sights on them. One thing with the Marbles is that new manuf stock has 3 different range barrels available -short-Med and long that are easily interchanged.
