Anyone on here have a chance to use or look through a March riflescope.

They have a 2.5 - 25 x 42 hunting model.

I just recieved this particular model this week, cost to me $2040 can funds after exchange. Aswome scope for the size which is compact compared to my 2 othe scopes which are Meopta meostar 4x16x44mmtactical and the Zeiss Conquest 4.5x14x44mm, which are pretty good glass.
But the March blew them away in clarity and visual detail, with tis scope you can see details that the other ones cannot pick out, at least to my eyes.
Chec out this tread, http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f18/march-2-5-25-a-50132/

I've looked through a number of the Benchrest models none of the hunting scopes though. I have a 45X leupold competion on one of my rigs and that is less that 1/2 price of a March. Are they worth the differance in money?? That depends on how deep your pockets are or what tax bracket you belong in. They are good (great) but truth is most of us are better served by the less expensive brands. I would likely never purchase another TASCO. but 20 years ago I had one on a 300 win mag Ruger and shot a pile of big game with that gun and It was a terrific piece considering how much it was worth.
Some guys shoot really good at benchrest matches with Sightrons,BSA's Weavers etc.
Others wouldn't be caught with those brands on their rifles. How deep are your pockets??

I've also heard that they are best(in BR circles)but I have no other experience with them, I'm using Leupold Comp. 40x, Weaver 36X, and Bush. 4.5-30x on my bench guns, at less then 1/3 the price.

The benchrest crowd are very particualr about their optics, and March scopes seem to get their approval.

I know because I'm part of the crowd and some of my closest friends both sides of the border are too!
The Benchrest Crowd have a ( general) opinion that if it cost the most it must be the best!! You can certainly win a Shoot without a March Scope.
More would be using Nightforce but they weight too much!! The March was engineered to fit benchrest weight parameters. The hunting scopes came later. Cheers Happy holidays!!
