I have searched but most answers were, marine stores should carry it

well I have called about 5 marine stores in GTA area, and none had it, one possibly has Marine-Tex in 2oz for $18 :bangHead:, and another had White Marine-Tex

can anyone locally tell me the store to call that has either Marine-Tex Putty in Gray or Devcon aluminium, titanium......

help, me  I'm getting frustrated

I use the glue and add colloidal silica or other powders from marine stores. yield is stronger and materials are easy to find

Thanx guys for inputs, I spoke with Ackland-Grainger in Concord, they told me they have the whole line of Devcon Products :D

now which one do I choose? Aluminium or Steel

can I used Devcon as Marine-Tex to make my stock grip better shaped???

Disreguard my coment I was thinking bedding, not putty. I would probably still use the mix my own approach, but I can see why others wouldn't bother. I would go for something that is easier to shape than metal if you want to allter the grip shape. You want to be able to carve or rasp it. I don't really see why you would need the compressive strength or other metal qualities in a grip fit, vs. repair bedding or other structural.

I will not need the strength of Devcon steel/alum but since I'm buying a 1lb of it, might as well use it for something too :D, good for bedding is the priority, but if I can alter my tupperware stock (I'm replacing it with either B&C or alike) for now, it'll be fun to see what I can mold
