Mark 2 Ross rifle bolt stop.

Hello. The bolt stop for Ross rifle drops out of place. You can manually depress it or pull it up but there is no tension on it. When cycling bolt it will pull right out when depressed.Does it just require a spring or would the whole bolt stop have failed somehow?

Hello J.rivet. The bolt stop of the Mk II has a hollow bottom for placement of a coil spring. The bottom end of the spring rests on the wood inside. In fact the spring is remarkedly similar to a push release on a ball point pen but a bit stronger. JOHN
