I just put a Mark 4 LR/T m3 on my .308 T3 Tikka tactical for long range target shooting...

....and then thought, why wouldn't that set up work well for hunting? Once I get a load together that matches the BDC dial, it would be super easy to laser the range, and turn the dial. M1 knobs are likely better, but this should be close enough for moose.

Does anyone use a Mark 4 scope for hunting?

That is what I use. 3.5-10. I usually keep it on 6. all the way down when in bush, all the way out when in the open. I loaded for performance. After a bunch of playing around, I found a set of hard hitting 180 grain loads, that were accurate. They are a little flatter then the BDC. I prefer the m3 turrets. The bullet will not impact where the crosshairs are, but that is solved with range time.
