Does anyone own or have they used a scope from this newer Australian based company? From what I have read online, they are a rather high end scope without the highend price tag. While I wish I could afford to buy a well known brandname, I just simply can't afford it. Currently I use a BSA 4-16x44 STS and while I find it adequate on my Savage 110C (.308 Winchester), I am considering on trying someting different. I have my eye on the Marc Precision Optics 10-40x50 SWAT. I would love to read some unbiased feedback regarding this company's product line. So...Anyone?

Cheers!!

Those who have posted on this previously, have said it is nothing more than the generic chinese made Leupold type clone, but branded with / for "Mark Precision Optics". I have a Leupold look alike (not fraudulenty branded Leupold), side parallax, 30mm tube, etc and I consider it trustworthy enough for a 22 for playing around, but I'd never put one on a hunting rifle. You have to consider the consequences of scope failure when you decide where to put a cheap scope like this. Its fine if I miss a gong at a range and have to re-zero, but for competition or hunting, I'd say no. Also, the optics on mine are inferior to a Bushnell 3200, but plenty good for gophers or target practice with a tactical turret scope.

So what you are suggesting is that it probably isn't any better than my BSA? My BSA by the way, I find to be rather good for low end glass.

I think the best person to hear from is someone who bought a 10-40x and can tell you have clear the glass is. Aside from that issue, durability, reliability are issues that will take time to arise. What properties in this scope do you consider valuable to you? What is its application? Consider one of the new tacticals from Meuller that Whitefalls is selling. They have something new coming out. I have one of their APV 4.5-14 scopes and it has decent optics and so far hasn't let me down, but its not side focus, nor mildot or target turret.
