There have been many debates on hunting rifles and calibers. We all have opinions about our favourite manufacturers in support of our buying decisions. Mine happens to Browning and Tikka.
I wonder if there is any information on market shares by the major players – whether that are growing or shrinking?
What about calibers? If my memory serves me right from what I read years ago, the most popular center fires calibers were 30-06, .308, .270, .243… (don’t remember where 30-30 fits into this ranking). How do the short mags fit into this overall ranking now?
Eg. Are the 300 wsm outselling the 300 wm? What about the 270 wsm vs .270…..
Is there any statistical data in the public domain (US and/or Canada) on these fronts? Would CFC release some of this information?
