I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me what the market value of a Spanish made Gorosabel 12 gauge double barrel shotgun is. the shotgun is near mint and it's reciever is case coloured with engraveing.

it looks like it may have been fired once or maybe never . thanks

Tradeex had some of these some time ago in the $250.00 range. Of course condition and model will make a difference. Hard to say without seeing the exact gun to know what it is but unless it is some higher grade model, $400.00 will likely be top dollar if condition warrants that price.

Had a Gorosabel 12 double. It was a boxlock, pistol grip with colour case action. A decent quality gun, mine was made in the 1960's. Sold it for $400, pretty much top dollar for the model, I think.

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for the answers. I did see 2 simular shotguns sell in the US for anywhere between $750 and $1000 US but that's the US. and it's a boxlock like Mike had mentioned . thanks again to you all

I'm afraid US prices aren't directly relevant - I take it the ones you noted weren't Gorosabels? Generally, a used Gorosabel (particularly a boxlock) won't fetch such $ figures over there i.e. unless those were some form of comparatively better grades. With Basque guns, it is always the gun and not the maker.

No Ahsan the shotguns I was looking at were in fact Gorosabels. one I was looking at was identical to the one that I have kicking around and it was 20 gauge not 12 . thanks though.

Are you buying or selling? If buying, you are free to pay whatever price you are happy/comfortable with. If selling, you will likely have it a long time if you list it at $700.00-$1000.00 in this country. Unless maybe it is a higher end model which is why pics are important when trying to give a value.

A 20 gauge is substantially more desirable than a 12 gauge and the pricing would reflect that.
I think the $400 range quoted is realistic for a 12 gauge gun in VG+ condition.
