marking on fn fal receiver????

i see on a dewatt fn fal those marking on the left side of the reciver on the switch lever "s" "e" and a other symbol what those mean thanks daniel
 
It's german. I don't know what it translates to.

s is for safe and e is for semi-automatic, of course. The other symbol is for automatic.
 
A lot of FNs were made for a lot of countries and marked in several languages. Without some background on the gun, it would be hard to say for sure.

German guns were usually marked S-E-D, I don't know how the 'S' translates but the 'E' is 'einzelfueur' and the 'D' is 'dauerfueur' (single fire and continuous fire, respectively).
