Ok, fella's I've set up another two pics for you to look at regarding my k98 Walnut stock. It show the only markings I could find and was looking for additional information on what they mean. Slowely I am trying to figure this Russian Capture out.

Also as promised I've included a pic of my barrel specifically the section located under the handguard. Notice the unfinished state. It's as if during manufacture after the latheing process, The barrel was issued and this section left unfinished. Is this a Krieg barrel? There is a what looks like a stamped G on that section, also the barrel near the receiver has 42R 97?? What ever that means.

That looks like a late war barrel with the rough machining for sure.

The stock is marked 'dot' which indicates the stock was built at the Brunn factory in Czechoslovakia. I have a Yugo refurbed Dot44, great shooter.

Not sure on the little star, doesn't look like a German marking that I am aware of. No other RC I have seen or owned has had that there. Maybe someone else has seen that mark.
