MarkIV Enfield US governent property stamp

In my travels yesterday I came across an Enfield Mark IV that is stamped US Government Property all matching numbers(mag included) but has been tastefully sporterized, I believe sites are original with the bayonet lugs cut off

Just wondering if it is something special or just another sporterized Enfield

And not a Mark IV, the designation is No.4 (there are several marks of the No.4: Mk.1, Mk.1*, Mk.2, Mk.1/2, Mk.1/3.) If it happens that you need to order parts or accessories this will be worth knowing.
