Marlin .17hmr feeding issues??

Any way to make these rifles feed better without holding pressure on the magazine when cycling the bolt? Are the Savage rifles any better than the Marlin's?

if your slightly mechanically inclined you can take the barreled action out of the stock and when you flip it over you will see the guide for the magazine, loosen the screw holding the guide rail and move it to one side or the other and it should tighten the fit of the magazine in the mag well. You might have to try each side but it should do the trick, My mags used to be fit quite poorly until I did this and now I have no problems. They click in and are tight as a drum
