Marlin 1893 Rifle With Half Mag

Last weekend I traded for a 30-30 Marlin 1893 rifle 26" barrel with half mag, but don't really know much about them. I did find out it was manufactured between 1905 & 1907. Retains some of it's case hardening on the receiver. Interested in finding out more about it.

Real basic info: It's essentially Marlins "Winchester '94", it came in the same chamberings. .30-30, .32-40, .38-55, .25-36 Marlin (virtually interchangeable with .25-35 Winchester).
In 1936, it was remodelled into the Model 36, after WW II (1948 IIRC) it was remodelled again into the 336 we know and love today.

26" was the standard barrel length, although the 1/2 mag makes it just a little out of the ordinary.
