Marlin 1893

Anybody happen to have any info on reassembly of a Marlin 1893 lever action? I just ran across someone with one sitting in his closet with most of the parts in a jar and he has no idea how to put it back together. To be honest, I don't even know if all the parts are there, the only thing that's missing for sure is the stock and stock screw.
I really love trying to put something together that someone else took apart

Ok, I got it together and it seems to work fine, just have to locate a stock and screw, are there any other Marlin models close enough to work? I have heard that the 336 is close to the 1893 as far as some internal parts, anyone know about the stocks?
