marlin 1894 in 32-20

I think it was closer to 15 years ago , maybe even 20. I did not buy one and still kick myself for it. They need to start building them again. They would sell like hotcakes.

I would be the first to buy one... hands down one of my favourite small game cartridges. It's a handloaders dream, with so much versatility.

am I crazy or like 10 years ago did marlin make there 1894 again in 32-20?

I think the model you are referring to is the 1894cl, which was chambered in 32-20. I've always had a liking for the straight grip and half length magazine --- there was one that sold on the EE within the last few months --- I don't recall the price, but it was likely in the $950-$1000 range and sold right away.

32-20 is one of my favorite carry rifle calibers, and yes it can be loaded lite enough for gophers, or, if you have to heavy enough to kill a deer in a pinch. ive got Winchesters in that cal but allways wanted one of these modern marlins.

Hopefully with Ballard rifling. On a side not I wish all makers would use 1-20" twist in the .44 mag and .444 instead of 1-38"

Henry makes a carbine in steel or brass alloy thats chambered in 327 federal. I believe you can fire the 32 mag in a 327 and therefore should be able to fire the 32-20 as well. Call henry and ask if theyll cycle. Their service is incredible. Ive read the 327 is as powerful as the 357 i cant comment on that as im more interested in their 41 mag

...different case head dimensions - .32-20 will not chamber in the 327 magnum at all...

Appears i mistook the 32sw for the 32-20. I apologize. I was thinking the 32 hnr mag was a lengthened 3220 but it was a 32sw case.
The henry in 327 federal should still do everything and more than the 32-20 but with less history and class

I resize 32-20 Starline brass using a 30 Carbine carbide die and shoot them out of my BSA Australian Cadet. With 100 grain .314" lead wadcutters and IMR 4227, it is both accurate and potent, though best accuracy is with 12 grains of IMR. The Cadet also chambers and fires the mild 1200 fps Remington factory loads quite well. I sometimes use the fireformed brass.

They are lovely rifles. Bought a minty one about 6-7 years ago for $700. Shoots like a dream and take it out with my Remington Model 25 in the same caliber as much as I can! So little recoil, it's comical!

I would happily purchase one each of the follow calibers in a Marlin. 32-20, 25-20, and 41mag. That would be $3000 well spent.
