Hey folks. Anybody know if you can convert a round-barreled Marlin 1894C to an Octagon style? My budget won't allow me to buy a Cowboy, and I'm wondering if I can make this conversion at a later date.

Also, other than style, why would you choose an octagonal barrel? Is it actually worth the ~$200 difference?

Compared to the Cost of having a Standard 94 rebarreled with an octagon one..........Yes, it's well worth the Extra 200 Bucks to just buy a Factory Cowboy Model if you want the Look of the Octagon ;)
The Cowboy Barrel is also 24's vs the Carbin's 20" if you want the Extra length.

you would have to buy a new oct. barrel and have it fitted and probably chambered a very exp. proposition....you are lucky though...the Marlin can be bought with an oct. barrel and this would be much less expensive....or do you already own the 1894c?? If you do, it would be cheaper to trade it in on a cowboy model.
