I am searching for one of these rifles in .45-70 and I want to find a pre-Remington Marlin production example with the JM stamp on the barrel and the production location of North Haven, Connecticut.

Can anyone post a photo of this stamp and the information of its exact location, as well as the format and location of the correct serial number range for this 1972-2008 version?

Many thanks,

Should be 28###### to MR######x.
Subtract first two digits from 100 for the year and MR is when REM/Marlin came about.
100-28=72
100-19=81
