I am looking for a new firing pin for my marlin 20a pump 22 and was wondering if I can get one in Canada or do I have to go through an American store? The gun fires inconsistently (lots of cleaning done) and appears to have been dry fired enough times to have mushrooned the firing pins end resulting in poor contact with the rim. If anyone has suggestions for this novice and his gun I would appreciate your thoughts.

Or do some careful work with a hammer and the pin on a block of hard material, to reshape it.

I think I will try carefully reshaping the end of the firing pin as suggested before ordering a new part.
