Hey guys-hope you're all keeping well in these strange times. I've been trying to stay out of the EE in recent months, forcing myself to believe that a couple 22s is enough. I haven't made a convincing argument I guess...so...I'm back to my search for a couple of obscure rimfires. I'm in no real rush to find the ones I have in mind, but, I've all but given up on finding the one oddball I've always wanted, a Marlin 25 MB "Midget Magnum". It's the one that doesn't seem to exist, but my impression is that there aren't that many around. I've read they were only made for one year.
Anyhow, I know the chances are slim...but give me some hope that there are a few out there? Any of you guys have one? Collector/user? Original owner? Any good stories about it? My back-up plan will be a Marlin bolt gun of the same era, but they're far more common. My only 22WMR was a Savage 93, and I was never thrilled with the accuracy...so I'm open-minded about the options. I've read Zastava have been known to shoot 22WMR very well, and that the old Mossberg 640 KD was also an accurate gun.
