Hey, just looking to get a little bit more input. I've been looking at XS, Skinner, Williams, and Wild West sights for my marlin. I'm leaning more towards the Skinner or XS.
For people who have any of these sights, what's good/crap about them?

I have the skinners for my Marlin. They do the trick for closer range work. One thing to know: you'll likely need to change out your front blade and then file down through trial and error. In terms of quality, the Skinner sight is well shielded because it sits on top of the receiver vs the side (which the Williams does and therefore makes the sight susceptible to blows from the side- in my opinion....)

With a bit of practice, peeps are deadly medicine for deer like critters in close cover and out a surprisingly fair distance.

I have a Skinner on my 1895 and a Williams on my 336.....prefer the Skinner. As noted, with the Skinner you'll have to change the front blade. I put a williams firesite front on....nice little red-dot in the peep is easy to pick up with my aging eyes:)

I have Skinner on my Rossi Rio Grande and I had XS on my 1895gbl, I prefer the XS but probably wouldn't pay the price again. I have a Firesight front like Bassmaster's on my BLR with a Williams peep as well and I love that red dot.
