Marlin 336 bolt stuck

I was reassembling and I pushed the bolt in fully (instead of halfway) now I can't get the lever back in and I'm not sure how to get the bolt out. Could I push the cleaning rod down to push it out? Or did it lock into place?
 
OK, well I got the lever back in by pushing down on that button behind the trigger (which caused the trigger to move back a couple of mm which gave enough room for the lever to clear it). Then I got it all back together and the action works. But now the trigger feels loose and I don't know if it was like that before I took it apart. It jiggles back and forth whether the hammer is cocked or not. Is this normal? I did put a lot of lube but I'm not sure.
