Marlin 336 dark feeding issues

Hey folks
Having some issues with my marlin 336 30-30. The last round in the mag tube is consistently jamming, whether I load one round or fill the tube with 5….the last always seems to jam the lever open.
When I open the chamber/eject the round before I can see the last round half way fed into the receiver and the other half of the round still in the mag tube…this is the position the round is when the jam happens.
Any help or information on this would be appreciated.

Check your follower/ spring and mag tube. Seems like the follower is hanging up in the tube. A quick check of thses parts might show an imperfection.

Okay will have a look at that. Also noticed it won’t jam if I angle the rifle upwards when chambering a round. If I chamber a round with the rifle level it always seems to jam on that last round in the tube.

Good advice,take rhe mag tube off and clean the insides ,usually gunk will get in the tube and gum things up.I always add a Wild West guns magazine follower in all my Marlins and that gets rid of a lot of problems.
